Several members of the ARCTEC team have recently returned from an extremely successful trip to the US for the American Society of Tropical Medicine & Hygiene (ASTMH) Annual Meeting, held in Maryland from 20-24 November 2019.
Attendance at the ASTMH meeting is incredibly important for our world-class team of research scientists to keep abreast of the latest developments, trends, research and innovations in vector control.
The conference is also a valuable opportunity for ARCTEC to meet both new and familiar faces, and to explore new collaborations and partnerships, of which there were many in 2019.
The ARCTEC team could be found on booth 111 where we were exhibiting alongside our colleagues at the Global Vector Hub, who were publicly demonstrating a prototype of this revolutionary online data-sharing platform for the first time.
Thank you to everyone who came by and visited us at the booth, and we are already looking forward to seeing everyone again in Toronto in 2020.
The ASTMH Annual Meeting is designed for researchers, professors, government and public health officials, military personnel, travel clinic physicians, practising physicians in tropical medicine, students and all health care providers working in the fields of tropical medicine, hygiene and global health.
